Out of This World

Mysterious Galaxy, a haven of a book store complete with novels of martins, murder, magic and mayhem is holding host to a writer whose work is out of our solar system. April 14, 7 P.M. novelist Peter F. Hamilton will be singing and holding a Q&A about his newest publication The Dreaming Void. Hamilton’s new novel is definitely for all you sci-fi fans with a growing sense of imagination. The Dreaming Void kicks off as the first volume in a new trilogy set and features life in 3589 on the verge of extinction facing a war with an outside force. Think life in 2008 is confusing? Doggie Paradise

Woodstock in the summer of 1969 was a life changing event talked about by humans with souls of music. This upcoming event instead targets a crowd of canines, a Woofstock if you will. Woofstock is an annual fundraising event. Complete with its own “walk in roll” stroll through Balboa Park, K-9 playground and Best Trick Contests, food, music and a good time with your dog or your kids. April 12, 9 A.M. till 2 P.M. admission is $5 for an interesting morning with a Children Fun Zone, and dog training classes.
